The new generation of intelligent cutter suction dredgers independently developed by HID Shipyard completed all the dredging tasks of this section 47 days ahead of schedule with a daily dredging capacity of 18,000 cubic meters, reducing the original construction period of 380 days to 333 days. The comprehensive energy efficiency has been improved by 35% compared with traditional equipment, marking a new step forward for China's large-scale cutter suction dredgers in the field of efficient, intelligent and green construction.

The key to improving efficiency lies in the HID-Insight 2.0 intelligent dredging system. This system integrates high-precision dual-frequency satellite station differential positioning, real-time imaging of sonar profiles and wave compensation control algorithms, enabling fully unmanned operation throughout the entire process including automatic positioning, automatic stranding and automatic constant pressure loading into the cabin. The chief engineer of the project introduced: "In the past, the driver had to constantly keep an eye on the instrument to adjust the lateral movement speed. Now, the system will automatically fine-tune according to the load of the cutter, with the error of each cutter's advance controlled within ±5 centimeters. The repetitive operation rate has been reduced by 90%, which is equivalent to upgrading the 'manual transmission' to 'autonomous driving'."

The project manager of the owner's unit said at the acceptance site: "The HID dredger not only made up for the construction period by one and a half months, but also gave us a brand-new understanding of the construction risks of complex river sections."
