HID Shipyard successfully delivered a new type of highly efficient tin ore carrier, facilitating the upgrading of offshore mining operations.
HID Shipyard has successfully delivered a newly designed tin mining vessel to an international customer. This vessel integrates advanced mining technology with the concept of green ships, marking a significant breakthrough for the company in the construction of special engineering vessels.
Compared with traditional equipment, its unit fuel consumption is reduced by 15%, and at the same time, the recovery rate of fine-grained cassiterite is increased to over 85%. The hull is equipped with a dynamic positioning system and an automatic anti-roll adjustment device, which can maintain operational stability in complex sea conditions.
The chief engineer of HID Shipyard introduced: "This vessel has been specially optimized for the underwater ore layer characteristics of the tin mining belts in Southeast Asia and Africa." We redesigned the bilge slurry circulation path through CFD fluid simulation technology, significantly reducing the risk of sedimentation blockage. Meanwhile, the dry tailings treatment system carried on board can dehydrate, compact the tailings and backfill the mined-out areas, minimizing the impact on the Marine ecological environment to the greatest extent.
The global demand for tin resources continues to grow, but easily recoverable land mines are gradually depleting. Efficient and safe offshore mining equipment has become crucial. The marketing director of HID Shipyard stated, "This vessel took only 14 months from contract signing to delivery, setting a record for the shortest construction period of its kind." At present, we have received multiple follow-up orders for vessels from countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia.
HID Shipyard also offers full life-cycle services, including operator training, annual maintenance, and possible future intelligent transformation and upgrading.
