The operation efficiency of the new generation of dredgers has increased by 40%, leading the technological revolution in dredging.

As the New Year approaches, the cutter suction dredger has performed outstandingly in dredging projects, with a daily dredging volume exceeding 250,000 cubic meters and an average operation efficiency increase of over 40% compared to similar traditional vessel types. This marks a major leap in the core technology of high-end dredging equipment in China.
Technological innovation drives a leap in efficiency.
The dredger is equipped with HID Shipyard's globally pioneering intelligent coupling system for the cutter, and in combination with the adaptive flow rate mud pump technology, it has achieved efficient crushing and transportation of various complex geological conditions such as rock layers, clay, and gravel. The core operation system of the ship is fully electrically driven and equipped with dynamic positioning and wave compensation devices, which can maintain continuous and stable construction in harsh sea conditions, reducing the traditional downtime caused by wind and waves by 60%.
"This is not just a hardware upgrade, but an overall breakthrough in intelligence," said Li Zhenhua, chief engineer of HID Shipyard. "The 'dredging brain' built into the dredger can analyze soil quality, tides and equipment load in real time, automatically optimize the speed of the cutter, the lateral movement speed and the power of the mud pump, and convert every kilowatt-hour of electricity into excavation force."
As a national dredging equipment manufacturing base, HID Shipyard has deeply integrated intelligence and greenness into the design of the entire life cycle of ships in recent years. This series of dredgers has obtained the "Smart dredger" certification from China Classification Society (CCS) and passed the pre-review of the EU Green ship standards. Currently, it has received multiple international orders from regions such as Southeast Asia and Africa.
"We are transforming dredgers from 'tools' into' Marine engineering system solutions'," said Zhou , general manager of HID Shipyard. "In the next three years, we plan to launch a fully autonomous unmanned dredging fleet to further drive the efficiency revolution in global port construction and Marine ecological governance."
HID Shipyard is a leading manufacturer of shipbuilding and Marine engineering equipment in the industry, specializing in the design and construction of various types of barges, workboats, engineering vessels and special-purpose ships. With its strong technological research and development capabilities, exquisite manufacturing processes and a complete global service system, the company's products have been exported to many countries and regions in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, and have won wide recognition in the market with reliable quality and professional services.
