Description of SCO HID shipyard engineer's return visit to China desilting project

The cutter suction dredger, delivered by northern China shipyard SCO HID to China Dredging Group in 2018, is now in service for the waterway maintenance project in Bohai Bay. The equipment uses a modular intelligent dredging system, equipped with 5500kW reamer power, and a maximum digging depth of 35 meters.

Today, seven years later, our engineers from SCO HID Shipyard once again visited the project site to visit the customer's use of the dredger:

First of all, the focus of technical return visit：

1. Equipment operation evaluation

- Cumulative working hours exceeded 18,000 hours

- The failure rate of core components (hydraulic transmission system, PLC control system) is less than 15% of the design standard

- Sediment treatment efficiency is stable at 4500m³/h (design index 4300m³/h)

2. Upgrade the service content

- Install GPS optimization system for dredging track

- Hydraulic oil circuit anticorrosion reform

- Culture upgrade in the operation interface

The second is customer feedback：

The technical assessment report issued by the project Department of China Dredging Group shows that:

- Equipment availability reached 98.7%

- 22% energy saving compared to conventional equipment

- Completed dredging of 230 million cubic meters in Caofeidian Port area

- Reduce Marine ecological disturbance by 45% (through precision positioning system)

Finally, the direction of follow-up cooperation：

The two sides signed the "Intelligent Dredging Equipment Joint Laboratory Agreement", focusing on promoting:

1. Hydrogen fuel cell power system integration

SCO HID gained a lot from the return visit of old customers, including the kindness of meeting customers and friends again, the glory of seeing the dredger for seven years, and the expectation of cooperation again. We will hold more and more return visits in the future to keep close interaction with customers and friends.

The cutter suction dredgers produced by SCO HID are the heart of modern dredging engineering, with their powerful reamer cutting capacity, efficient mud pump delivery system and stable power configuration, which can be adapted to port dredging, reclamation, Marine engineering and other projects.
