On January 13, 2026, in response to the national strategy of building a maritime power and to promote the high-quality development of the Marine equipment manufacturing industry, HID Shipyard, a leading domestic manufacturer of ships and Marine engineering equipment, and Shandong Ocean University officially signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement today. Both sides announced that they will carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation, and technology transfer, and jointly commit to the independent research and development and industrial upgrading of high-end Marine equipment.

According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on cooperation in the following areas:

Collaborative scientific research and technological breakthroughs: Jointly establish the "Marine High-End Equipment Innovation Laboratory", focusing on cutting-edge directions such as green ships, intelligent shipping, deep-sea engineering equipment, and Marine new energy equipment, and jointly apply for and implement major national and provincial-level scientific research projects.

2. Jointly cultivate industry talents: Jointly build a "College Students' Internship and Practice Base" and a "Postgraduate Joint Training Base".
