The SCO HID jack-up barge demonstrated the hard power of Chinese manufacturing in the South American waters.
On the vast sea off the Pacific coast of Ecuador, a huge steel platform stands majestically above the blue waves. This is the JRH-400 jack-up barge independently developed and built by SCO HID Shipyard, which is providing crucial support for major local port construction projects.
The west coast of South America is renowned for its complex hydrological conditions. Strong tidal currents and high waves pose extremely high demands on offshore operation equipment. SCO HID's jack-up barge, with its innovative three-legged jack-up design and powerful pile leg load capacity, maintains a stable operation state even under the maximum wave height of 3.5 meters. Its operating water depth can reach 45 meters, far exceeding the performance indicators of similar products.
"The stability and reliability of this barge are impressive," said Carlos Mendez, the on-site project manager. "Even in bad weather conditions, it can maintain safe operation, greatly accelerating our project progress."
This self-elevating barge is equipped with an intelligent lifting control system independently developed by SCO HID, which can achieve millimeter-level platform leveling accuracy. The integrated dynamic positioning system enables the vessel to maintain a stable position in complex sea conditions with an error not exceeding 0.5 meters.
The ship is also equipped with large crane interfaces and modular deck Spaces, allowing for the rapid configuration of operation modules according to different engineering requirements and achieving multi-functional operation capabilities.
At present, this jack-up barge has become an important force in local Marine engineering construction. Its outstanding performance has won unanimous praise from the owner and the contractor, and has brought a good reputation to China's high-end equipment manufacturing in the international market.
