The amphibious dredger of SCO HID Shipyard has successfully tested, demonstrating outstanding all-terrain operation capabilities.

The new amphibious dredger independently developed by SCO HID Shipyard has successfully completed multiple performance tests in a dedicated test pool, marking an important breakthrough in the vessel's adaptability to complex working conditions and operational reliability.


During the five-day intensive testing, this special operation platform integrating the functions of ships and construction machinery demonstrated its unique advantages. The test simulated various typical working environments such as tidal flats, shallow water and swamps. The floating stability of the vessel, the efficiency of the mud pump system, the accuracy of underwater excavation and the walking ability on land all met or exceeded the design indicators.


"This test successfully verified the outstanding adaptability of our amphibious dredger in intertidal and offshore engineering," said the technical director of SCO HID Shipyard. "It can operate efficiently in water depths of less than 1 meter and maintain stable excavation performance under different substrate conditions."


This amphibious dredger adopts SCO HID's patented compound propulsion system and adaptive excavation mechanism, which can automatically adjust the working mode according to the working environment. Test data shows that its maximum excavation depth reaches 15 meters, its water speed can reach 8 knots, and its land walking speed can reach 3 kilometers per hour. All indicators are at the leading level in the industry.


This test also focused on verifying the intelligent control system of the vessel. Operators can achieve "one-click" mode switching through the integrated control console, significantly reducing the operational difficulty of complex environment operations. Environmental performance tests show that its closed mud treatment system can effectively reduce the diffusion of suspended solids during operation and meet strict environmental protection standards.


The person in charge of the Marketing Department of SCO HID Shipyard said, "This amphibious dredger is particularly suitable for engineering scenarios such as port dredging, river course management, and tidal flat development." The successful test has laid a solid foundation for our upcoming mass production, and many domestic and foreign customers have expressed their purchasing intentions.
